Developing our people is critical to our strategy and fostering our culture of empowerment.\n.\nDelivers materials to job site, inspects and maintains truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials. This position is not a CDL driver but may require some certification depending on State law.What you will do \u2022 Operate safely. \u2022 Participate in a positive work environment. \u2022 Check orders for accuracy. \u2022 Organize and secure load. \u2022 Obtain approval on all loads from supervisor for proper count and conditions of load. \u2022 Assist in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse. \u2022 Deliver and unload materials to customer\u2018s satisfaction. \u2022 Follow guidelines from supervisor. \u2022 Complete daily equipment inspection. \u2022 Record all merchandise that is returned by truck. \u2022 Complete necessary paperwork such as delivery tickets and credit slips. \u2022 Provide excellent customer service. \u2022 Assist in unloading material returned for credit. \u2022 Relay messages sent by customers while on job. \u2022 Assist supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned. \u2022 Comply with all company policies and guidelines. \u2022 Participate in and completes assigned trainings. \u2022 May be subject to DOT and FMCSA jurisdictions and restrictions. \u2022 Typically delivers raw materials to customer.Required For All Jobs \u2022 Perform other duties as assigned. \u2022 Comply with all policies and standards. \u2022 Adheres to Company\u2019s commitment to workplace safety.Education Qualifications \u2022 High School Diploma or GED required. Experience Qualifications \u2022 1-3 years of experience driving trucks required. \u2022 Lumber dumping experience preferred. Skills and Abilities \u2022 Ability to do basic math, read orders, writes instructions and complete forms. \u2022 Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills. \u2022 Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems. \u2022 Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques. \u2022 Maintain current operator\u2019s license and meet company driver qualification requirements. \u2022 Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications). Licenses and Certifications \u2022 DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required.
